Survivor Africa winner, Ethan Zohn kicked butt in the New York City Marathon yesterday. A year ago, he was undergoing radiation and a stem cell transplant, kicking cancers butt. During the race, he passed the hospital where he was treated. Zohn told the NYDN,
“I don’t know whether I should flick it off or give it a big hug. Like, ‘Hey I hate you cancer, but I love you [Sloan] for saving my life,’ It’s a double-edged sword.”
Ethan finished in 4:16:08, a pace of 9:48 per mile. If you know nothing about running, that is very impressive. He was running for his charity Grassroot Soccer.
Congrats to Ethan for finishing and keep up the good fight, you are a champion in every sense of the word.
