Last night, the top 7 American Idol contestants sang songs from the 21st century. That was quite a broad era for them to choose from and I must say, a couple of them were very disappointing in their choices. Ahem! Lauren Alaina and Scotty McCreery. Not the best idea this last in the game to go that safe and boring.
CONFIRMED: Twilight Star, Nikki Reed is Dating American Idol Paul McDonald
Tonight we are getting guest performances from the one and only Katy Perry and my man, David Cook. I am more excited about these performances than the rest. It’s going to be a very cool show.
American Idol: Jacob Lusk Has A Mugshot
My predictions for the bottom three are: Scotty McCreery, Stefano Langone, and Lauren Alaina. Based on last night’s performances, they each deserve the bottom spots. Now I will probably end up shocked and somewhat pissed at the end of the night…. after Pia was booted, nothing will surprise me.
What are your predictions?
Check back shortly for the results!
UPDATE: The show opened with the group performances… the second much better than the first….proving that Casey and James are the best of the best in this competition.
The first of the results revealed that Casey was safe and Jacob was in the bottom three. I definitely agreed with both of those placements. After the break, the incredible David Cook took the stage singing his new single off of his upcoming album, Last Goodbye. Love, love, loved it. Mmmmmm. Afterward, his mom got a kiss from Steven Tyler. OMG. That was priceless.
The next round of results revealed that Stefano was in the bottom three, not a surprise of course. Then Lauren and James were both safe. Next Scotty was safe and Haley was sent to the stools. Ugh. I knew she’d end up there. BUT, then Ryan immediately made her get up and sent her back to the couches. Nice!
Then we got our lovely Katy Perry on stage performing, E.T. and of course she rocked the stage. Kanye West appeared on screen for the beginning of the song, then he actually showed up on stage right before the end. Pretty BIG performance there.
The final results showed that Stefano got the least amount of votes and that was that. He’s a sweetie, he just needs a bit of growth and he will go far.
