Vanessa Williams had a rough childhood – first she was molested by a family friend and then she got pregnant in high school and got a secret abortion! Altogether too much information – why is Vanessa telling us this? Oh yes – money! The greedy Desperate Housewives star decided to cash in on her childhood struggles in a new memoir – You Have No Idea.
Vanessa somehow got pregnant as a teenager and aborted the child without her mother Helen’s knowledge. Vanessa said she didn’t feel ready to be a parent.
In an interview Nightline Vanessa said:
”Being pregnant is the most frightening thing that happens in your life. I knew in high school that’s something that I was not prepared to do or fight or struggle with.”
The 49 year old Vanessa now has four children – three from her first marriage to former manager Ramon Harvey II and one child with ex-husband and basketball star Rick Fox.
