Khloe Kardashian is in the running to become the first female presenter on X Factor USA. The show which has dramatically changed since its first season – axing two judges and its original presenter – in hopes to stand a chance of competing with rival talent shows such as American Idol and highly-popular NBC’s The Voice. Network execs reached out to the reality star after she told the press that she’d love to join the show, praising Simon Cowell and the show itself:
“I’ve always wanted to do hosting or talk show hosting, so it’s definitely something that I would love to do and would be honored to do,” she told E! Online. “To be on such a huge show like that with those judges, I would have so much fun doing that. I love personalities like that because I’m someone who is very straightforward and I tell it like it is,” she said. “That’s what he’s doing. He just doesn’t want to blow smoke up people’s asses.”
According to TMZ, Khloe and five other people are in the running for the job – three male and three women – as the show will have two presenters, consisting of one male and a woman. Other celebrities who have been linked to the job are Stacey Keibler, Ashley Roberts and Terrence J, but non of them have confirmed these reports. Kardashian is said to audition, alongside all other five competitors for the role within the next week. Oh – and if you thought that just because Khloe is a Kardashian, she’ll snag the role – that’s not happening. FOX just want a good presenter… we all know what happened to the first one. Yikes!
