MTV love having big ratings, and they’d do anything to get them. Last year’s Video Music Awards was the most-watched award show on the network, thanks to Beyonce who announced her pregnancy after performing Love on Top. This year, however, MTV bosses are hoping that Drake and Chris Brown will be at the bash to cause some drama, seeing that the two still haven’t patched up things after their nightclub brawl over Rihanna, two months ago.
The two are both nominated in the category for ‘Best Male Video’, which means that whoever wins the award will come out looking like a champion, while the other will be really annoyed and try to cause some kind of chaotic scene, according to producers. Rihanna will most likely attend the show as she carries the most nominations out of all of the categories, so expect to see a camera on her face when Drake and Chris go at it!
Us Weekly had the following to say to all of this: “Notice Drake and Chris are both up for ‘Best Male Video’,” a source said. “They are hoping a fight breaks out. Ratings galore!” Take into consideration that MTV loved the fact that Kanye West interrupted Taylor Swift at the VMA’s back in 2009 – people were shocked, but also at the same time couldn’t take their eyes away from it. So, will they ever have a moment like that again? We think so! Stay tuned.
