Lindsay Lohan‘s life is the most un-funny, tragic, yet entertaining storyline of the year. It’s the classic comedy: just when you think it can’t get any worse, it does! Linds may be an expert bullet dodger and D-list actress, but a psychologist in Los Angeles explains that it may not be her fault! For reals! Two doctors diagnosed her with full, severe Narcissistic Personality Disorder, and it sounds about right to me! Spot of history: Narcissus was this really hot guy who was so busy looking in a pond at his reflection that he drowned. Moral of story? If Lindsay doesn’t get help, she’ll drown too!
Clinical psychologist Jeanette Raymond explains the condition: “Narcissistic Personality Disorder is characterized by self-centeredness, lack of empathy, and an exaggerated sense of self-importance.” It’s like reading her match.com profile! So why isn’t Lindsay being treated? Well, her self-obsession won’t let her take the drugs!
A source close to the troubled star explains, “She was prescribed Lexapro, Wellbutrin, and Xanax, which worked wonders for her. She ended up getting a little pudgy, so she stopped taking them and began her alcohol and cocaine binge again. She also started abusing Oxycontin.” See? She is so obsessed with herself that packing on a few pounds is more important than getting healthy!
This news comes in the midst of her latest legal troubles: she’s in court for violating her probation after an incident of reckless driving and lying to police, and it looks like she will be donning the orange jumpsuit once again. Apparently she doesn’t care about the case against her, because she told Star Magazine‘s source, “Without continued therapy, [doctor's told me I] will die. Most likely behind the wheel of a car.” But Lindsay didn’t believe them! She told the source, “The man was out of his mind.” Do you think there’s any hope for Lindsay?

Lohan will probably die by her own hand, whether intentionally or unintentionally. She wants attention (hence the Narcissistic Personality Disorder). She can’t pay her rent, but she jets across the country to hang out with a rock band. She knows she’s in legal trouble, but she does nothing to get OUT of legal trouble. She knows that her doctors say her substance abuse is going to kills her, but she says they’re crazy and don’t know what they’re talking about. Locking her up where she cannot get the attention she craves will probably drive her further into her psychosis. She needs treatment, but will have to be mandated into getting it. Compounding this is her parents. One who feeds into her narcissism; the other who goes WAY the other direction and wants her locked up. She doesn’t stand a chance until she gets a judge who will commit her to a psychiatric facility for as long as it takes to fix her brain.
