Lady Gaga is doing everything she can to get her hands on Michael Jackson‘s Neverland ranch after becoming one of the biggest collectors of the late singer’s items. The 26-year old already owns over fifty items from Michael, who passed away in 2009, and now has her eyes set on the infamous California mansion that caused Jackson’s breakdown.
The Neverland ranch was called home to many kids who spent most of their days with Michael and the fun, exciting animals, amusements parks and rollercoaster rides. Gaga, real name Stefani, hopes that even if she can’t buy the entire ranch from MJ’s kids – who still legally own the home – she hopes to buy a share of it.
“Lady GaGa is obsessed with Michael,” a source said. “She’s become good friends with his sister La Toya, and would love more than anything else to restore Neverland to its original state. His kids are all desperate to hold on to their childhood home so they can decide what they want to do with it properly when they’ve grown up. GaGa would love to help with the financial costs by buying a share.”
Gaga who was supposed to be the opening act for Michael’s shows back in 2009, recently spoke about the tragic death of one of her idols she felt so close to. “There was some talk about the openers doing duets with Michael on stage,” she said at the time. “But Michael’s death was devastating for me regardless of whether I was supposed to go on tour with him.”
