Say what?! We all knew Lady Gaga was bisexual, but sleeping with the people who are there to work for you, not to share a bed with, is a little weird. Jennifer O’Neill, Gaga’s former assistant has sued the singer in unpaid working hours she has yet to receive from her — a whopping $393,000, and on top of that, she wants an undisclosed amount against damages for her work during 2009 to 2011.
Jennifer made $75,000 a year, but says that there were no benefits to the job other than the big paycheck at the end of the year. She says that the money wasn’t even worth the things she was required to do for Gaga; she had to share a bed with Gaga, was not given her own workspace during touring and had not private area for herself – adding that she couldn’t have sex because she wasn’t permitted to stay anywhere by herself.. she was there to work not to enjoy life.
During a deposition, O’Neill described her time with Gaga as horrible, saying: “I was by her side virtually 24 hours a day, seven days a week. That includes sleeping in the same bed with her. Because she did not sleep alone. Unlike anybody else on that tour, I did not have my own hotel room. I was not asked if I wanted my own hotel room.”
“I had no privacy, no chance to talk to any family, no chance to talk to any friends, no chance to have sex if I wanted to have sex. There was no chance to do anything,” she added. But wait — isn’t that what the job is all about? Servicing the client’s needs, not living their luxurious life and think it’s a holiday job! No! You do as your told and if you don’t like it, go away.
