Fergie has finally announced that she is expecting her first baby. The Black Eyed Peas singer made the not-so-shocking announcement earlier today on her Twitter page, after weeks of speculation her hubby Josh Duhamel had gotten his wife pregnant. Fergie recently attended the Safe Haven premiere where a slight baby bump was very noticeable, yet both of them continued to deny the “rumor” she was expecting…. until now!
The 37-year old refused to go over the top by revealing the news in a magazine, and just kept it casual as she tweeted out to her millions of followers. Check out her TWITTER Tweet HERE at The Great Monkey Suit. It has us now wondering how many months she could possibly be into her pregnancy. Seeing that we could already tell she was expecting a child two weeks ago, we’d say she’s around 3-4 months pregnant, but we’ll see.
The adorable couple are going to be parents for the first time and though it’s amazing to see such a great pair expand their family, it also happens to be quite sad when you think about it. Fergie recently said she was writing some new songs for a possible forthcoming album “when the time is right”, but now that she’s pregnant, it’s very likely that she’ll put those plans on hold to focus more on her baby and being a mother. And another Black Eyed Peas album should also not be expected for a couple of years, also. Boo-hoo!
Despite the fact that we’re upset about the long break she could possibly be taking from music, we’re happy to see that these two are still going strong after four years of marriage. You may recall a stripper making claims that Duhamel had a sexual relationship with her back in 2009, in which Fergie recently responded to, saying: “We’re stronger today definitely because of anything difficult that’s happened with us,” she said. “We deal with it, we communicate; communicating’s the most important thing.”
In an interview with Oprah Winfrey, Fergie had also explained how she wishes to have to have at least two kids with Josh in the near future. Well, baby number one is already coming, so could baby two be happening in 2014? Maybe even ending 2013? Who knows! All we know is that we’re happy for these two. Congrats!
