Breakups are tough and it’s even harder when you have to continue working with the person. Usually, one person will move on a bit better than the other and while Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Karina Smirnoff split 5 years ago, she’s still carrying a torch. Karina is one of those smart women that always seems to pick the wrong guy, but she believes that what she had with Maks was the real deal. So much so that, according to the July 14th print edition of Globe Magazine, she is praying that his fling with Jennifer Lopez burns out fast.

Maksim Chmerkovskiy has spent many years on Dancing with the Stars, and he’s not only racked up a huge public profile, but also enough money to last him a lifetime. Considering that he’s probably achieved everything he’s wanted to on that show, it’s not that surprising to hear that he’s thinking of departing the show for good come next season.
In a recent interview, Maksim seems pretty confident in saying that he won’t be returning for the next season of the popular show, telling audiences that he only stayed so long so that he could finally win the sought-after winner’s trophy. As he explains, “My goal was always to win and walk away, but I never won, so I could never walk away.” And now that he’s won Season 18 [finally] with Meryl Davis, does that mean he’s finally walking away?
The season finale of Dancing with the Stars is approaching, and with it, another round of elimination. In episode 1809 next week, a.k.a. the semifinals, award-winning choreographer and director Kenny Ortega [High School Musical] will be a guest judge on Dancing With The Stars. Kenny will join the judges table, which includes Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli, and Len Goodman. Kenny has plenty of judging experience, as he has previously guest judged So You Think You Can Dance several times, and he’s also directing the new Dirty Dancing movie.
Season 18 of Dancing With The Stars continues on Monday April 21st at 8:00 PM on ABC, and according to DWTS spoilers it’s going to be another must-see episode! Monday will mark the 6th week of this season of Dancing With The Stars and the theme will be “Party Anthems Night.” Naturally the guest judge will be “Party Anthem” singer, LMFAO’s Redfoo. We’ve seen LMFAO dance before and it is probably a safe assumption that Redfoo doesn’t know much about ballroom dancing but he is definitely a professional partier and will offer some valuable insight on the dancers’ Party Anthem routines. It will also be hilarious to watch Redfoo interact with DWTS judges Len Goodman, Bruno Tonioli and Carrie Ann Inaba.
DWTS 2014 Guest Judge Julianne Hough Calls Maksim Chmerkovskiy Out After His Jive With Danica McKellar
As part of Season 18 of Dancing With The Stars latest twist, Julianne Hough appeared on an all new episode of the dancing competition last night. The former DWTS dancer wasn’t dancing though, she actually appeared on last night’s show as a guest judge-joining Carrie Ann Inaba, Len Goodman, and Bruno Tonioli.
Guest judge Julianne Hough wasn’t the only twist last night on Dancing With The Stars though, there also was a dance partner switch up. As a result of the loathed DWTS contestant Switch Up, brothers Maksim Chmerkovskiy and Val Chmerkovskiy swapped dancing partners. After Maksim and his new dance partner Danica McKellar performed a jive together for the first time, guest judge Julianne Hough called Chmerkovskiy out on his performance. Julianne stated Maks treated Danica unfairly and didn’t put half us much effort into his dance with her than he did with his previous partner Meryl Davis. She said, “I always felt like Maks you were like Mark. I felt like you just wanted to get by so you could get back with Meryl. ”
Episode 1804 is about to be a historic one for ABC’s hit reality competition show, Dancing with the Stars. This past week, voters were given the choice to ask for a change in the celebrity dance pairings, and due to enough people voting for the change, it will now be instituted during DWTS’ next episode.
We reportedly won’t get an advance notice on the new couples, as they will be revealed live during the actual episode itself, but we have some rumors for you of the pairings. The show will reportedly begin with an opening number featuring the entire cast, and then lead to each celebrity trying out a different dance move with their new partner.
This week Dancing With The Star is back with another round of dancing after losing not one, but two contestants last week in a surprise double elimination. The celebs who hung up there dancing shoes were Diana Nyad and her professional dancer Henry Byalikov and Sean Avery and his professional dancer Karina Smirnoff.
On this week’s show we will see the beginning of the guest judges. “Good Morning America” anchor Robin Roberts will be the first guest judge to kick off season 18. Robin serves as the first of many guest judges this season including Julianne Hough, Ricky Martin and Redfoo from LMFAO.
The remaining 10 celebrities commemorate “The Most Memorable Year Of Their Life.” Each couple will dance to a song of the celebrities choosing that encompasses a memorable time or experience in their life. These heartfelt performances promise to be some of the most intense and emotional of the season.

Did you know that Dancing With the Stars pay their contestants to do the show? It’s common knowledge about the professionals but to hear that the celebrities are also doing the show for cash kind of takes some of the joy out it all. I mean here we all thought they wanted to win because they became invested when in actuality the longer they stay on the show equals the more they’ll get paid. The underage Australian singer had to inform authorities about his 125,000 pay check.
