Simon Cowell has said that cute girls on the X Factor go through. The founder of the show also allows the other judges to flirt with the contestants if they want to, only if they are single. According to Cowell, “it’s just the way of the world,” and no matter if they can sing or not, they still have a pretty face to look at and that’s all that really matters.
“If you are single, you can flirt,” he is quoted as saying in The Sun. “We’ve definitely put girls through because they are cute, in the same way the girls put guys through – it’s just the way of the world.”
The interview continued when Simon was asked how he felt when his secret fling with former UK X Factor judge, Dannii Minogue, became public in an unauthorized autobiography on the mogul’s life, which also claimed he had slept with more than four girls in one night. “I’ve been a naughty boy – that’s why I got into the music business. I’ve had my fair share, nothing too bad,” he said
He added that the publicity on his private life is definitely helping the show become more popular with its audience: “I’m immensely flattered because it means people watch the shows. Without the shows being popular no-one would know who I am!”
