Dwayne Johnson Lays the ‘Smack Down’ on Some Mythical Creature’s Ass?

The idea of a film adaption for the series ‘Lore’ started two years ago with both Jeremy Lott and Cory Goodman starting to write the screenplay. It wasn’t till recently that it has been turned into a pretty big project with a bidding war starting between several studios trying buy the rights.

But what was the reason for such an increase in interest for the film adaption? Well according to THR Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson has been confirmed to star in it. Once that was known, the bidding war began. The film adaption bidding went as far as seven digits, with Warner Bros. out bidding both Sony and Paramount.

Oh heck yeah! It’s here and it’s freaking awesome! The second installment of the G.I. franchise has released it’s first trailer. G.I. Joe: Retaliation is going to be better than the first. And I loved the first! So get ready, they’ve added some Rock and Bruce Willis…. this one is tough as nails!

Vanessa Hudgens: ‘Journey 2: The Mysterious Island’ Trailer

Dwayne Johnson, Michael Caine, Josh Hutcherson, Vanessa Hudgens, Luis Guzman, and Kristen Davis star in the upcoming family/action flick, Journey 2: The Mysterious Island. The original came out in 2008.

The adventures continue when the cast heads off to an island that shouldn’t even exist to rescue it’s only inhabitant. Of course there will be oodles of obstacles along the way. It looks like good, clean, family fun.

Journey 2: The Mysterious Island opens in theaters on February 10, 2012.

The Rock aka Dwayne Johnson rode Splash Mountain at Disneyland recently and he made sure to bring out his guns as he splashed to the bottom. I love these photos. It always cracks me up to look at all the other people’s expressions. I think the dude in the back wins this one.
