Zayn Malik Backed Out From Meeting Johnny Depp: ‘I Was Too Nervous But I Do Regret It’

Zayn Malik Says He Was Too Nervous To Meet Johnny Depp

One Direction’s Zayn Malik has said he regrets not meeting up with Johnny Depp when he had the chance to. Zayn and the other four members of the boy band were invited to hang out with the actor at a studio in the States, but Malik’s nerves got the better of him and he decided to back out and stay at home. He says his reasoning for not going to the studio to meet Johnny was because he’s a massive fan and he didn’t want to end up embarrassing himself in front of him:

“I was too nervous to go. I am a massive, massive fan and I didn’t want to embarrass myself so I let the boys go without me,” Malik told The Sun. “Hopefully, there will be a next time. The boys said he was totally cool. I kind of regret it for sure and the lads said I was a scaredy cat.”

He added that he kind of relates to how his fans act when he is around them — they tend to get very excited and can’t contain their emotions. He says he felt exactly the same in that moment, continuing: “Some of our fans get so excited or nervous when they meet us and that’s how I was at the thought of being with Johnny. But instead of lapping it up and enjoying it, I ran the other way.”

Meanwhile, One Direction were recently named the biggest boy band in the world, after selling 500,000 copies of their second album, Take Me Home, last week in the States alone. They are THE ONLY British boy band to score two number one albums.

One Direction’s Niall Horan Purchases $3.4 Million Property, Named Most Popular 1D Member

Niall Horan Spends MILLIONS On New Home

Niall Horan should use Nene Leakes catchphrase: “I’m rich, I’m very, very rich,” because just under a year, Horan has cashed in over $10 million and made his first big purchase on a property in London, formerly owned by British boy band star Marvin Humes. Niall, who is currently promoting Take Me Home alongside his group members all over the world, managed to find the time to put his money to good use following the news that Harry Styles and Zayn Malik had also bought multi-million dollar homes in the UK.

A source says that when the property went up for market, Niall supposedly didn’t waste time on purchasing it: “After marrying Rochelle, Marvin’s beloved pad was no longer needed – so he put it on the market and it was quickly snapped up by Niall. He loves the place and was determined to get on the property ladder. He hopes it’s the start of a proper housing portfolio – especially now he’s not short of a few bob.”

Meanwhile, Amazon has revealed a percentage of what the sales are for the One Direction dolls which went on sale last year. While Harry topped the list last year, Horan quickly took over with a percentage of 25.2%. “It’s no longer the foppish curls of Harry but the Irish charm of Niall that seems to be a hit with One Direction fans,” Amazon’s Ulrike Wingenter-Davey told The Sun.

1. Niall Horan – 25.2%
2. Louis Tomlinson – 21.3%
3. Harry Styles – 20.4%

One Direction To Perform On The X Factor USA This Week, FOX Confirms

one direction perform on x factor usa

One Direction will perform two of their hits on the X Factor stage this Thursday, FOX has confirmed. The group who recently performed on the Swedish version of the talent show are promoting their latest single ‘Little Things’ before the release of their forthcoming album, Take Me Home, which hits shelves November 12th.

Having 1D perform on the X Factor is probably the best decision the producers have come to, considering that the show has been tanking in the ratings, as Thursday’s show peaked at 6.7 million viewers – which is 1 million less than to what the ratings were on Wednesday night, when Khloe Kardashian made her debut whilst giving viewers a little nip-slip action.

Sharing their excitement to perform on the show, the group said: “Having come from the UK X Factor, we can’t wait to perform on the US stage – it’s going to be a great night! We’re really excited to be on the American X Factor. It’ll be the first time we’ve performed in front of ‘Uncle Si’ since we were on the UK X Factor. So, hopefully, we’ll make him proud!”

Upon their performance on Thursday, the group will head on back to the UK where they have also been confirmed to hit the stage for X Factor UK. These boys are not playing around when it comes to making money — they definitely know how to cash in. Oh and their forthcoming album Take Me Home is already expected to sell an estimated 350,000 in its first week.
