Facebook founder, Mark Zuckerberg is Time Magazine’s Person of the Year for 2010. This choice has shocked a lot of people, but to me, it makes total sense. For some reason, the movie, The Social Network gave Zuckerberg a whole new kind of power.
“Facebook has merged with the social fabric of American life, and not just American but human life: nearly half of all Americans have a Facebook account, but 70% of Facebook users live outside the U.S. It’s a permanent fact of our global social reality. We have entered the Facebook age, and Mark Zuckerberg is the man who brought us here.”
You can read the entire article on Time, maybe you’ll agree with their choice, maybe you won’t. But either way, it is just Time Magazine. It’s not life altering.
