November is still a long ways off. But we are going to keep ourselves busy watching for news like this, about the upcoming Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn movies.
If you haven’t read the books, the information below is a complete spoiler, so please don’t read on, READ THE BOOKS!
Okay, for the rest of you. This update of information will answer some of the questions we’ve all had after reading the books. Like, how will they do the birth scene? Gruesome right? And how about the sex scenes? They surely can’t leave all of that out right?
Here’s the scoop:
Producer Wyck Godfrey said that,
The birth sequence will attempt to maintain the extremes of the text but, to avoid an R rating, will be “seen only through Bella’s eyes”.
“She is looking through the haze, “ Godfrey says, “experiencing pain and everything rushing around her. We only see what she sees.”
Also on the ratings front, Godfrey promises that the key sex scene in the book, “[will] not become soft porn. It is a legitimate and important part of the movie, romantic and sensual.”
That is brilliant. They aren’t going to horrify everyone with the worst of it, but they are certainly going to give us a grasp of Bella’s side of the birth experience. Ahhh!
Then of course the sex scenes are a vital part of the story and a must have. I am loving all of this!
So, now we have to wait, wait, wait. The first installment of Breaking Dawn hits theaters on November 18th, 2011, then the second on November 16th, 2012.
