Last night, Denver Broncos running back Laurence Maroney was arrested by the St. Louis PD for marijuana and unlawful use of a weapon.
Maroney has a valid “Conceal and Carry” permit but that is void is you are high.
Last night, Moroney and five other friends were hot-boxing a car when the cops busted him.
Five of them were arrested, including Maroney and they found 3 guns.
Maroney’s rep released a statement,
“Mr. Maroney was unlawfully arrested for possession of weapons. He holds a permit to carry a concealed weapon and he had his permit on his person when he was arrested. He was not arrested for any drugs nor was he involved in a high speed chase. He was released without being charged with any offense and we do not anticipate he will be charged with any criminal offense.”
Really? No criminal offense. A bunch of dudes getting high in a car with three guns isn’t an offense? I really don’t think this one is going to slide. But perhaps a big payoff occurred?
