Last night on Dancing With The Stars, we got to see our final five perform two dances each. First a ballroom dance they’d practiced, then they had to do the instant dance. This is only the second season to have this challenge and I love it!
I saw Casey Abrams, Nick Jonas, and Troy Polamalu in the audience… and of course tons of Terrible Towels. Love it!
Chelsea Kane and Mark Ballas kicked off the night with the waltz that included a couple of kisses! It was a very emotional dance, very well done. Scores: 10, 9, 10 = 29. Then their instant dance was the Salsa to Get Busy. They did an amazing job! Very fun. Scores: 8, 9, 9 = 26 TOTAL – 55
Hines Ward and Kym Johnson started with the Foxtrot and of course the audience loved it. The judges are always impressed with Hines. Scores: 9, 9, 10 = 28 Then for the instant dance they did the Jive to Chantilly Lace and of curse rocked that too. Scores: 9, 9, 8 = 26 TOTAL – 54
Romeo and Chelsie Hightower worked really hard on their Tango which paid off with 9, 9, 9 = 27. THen for their instant dance, they had a ball dancing to Tequila. The judges weren’t in love with it though. Scores: 9, 8, 8. TOTAL – 52
Ralph Macchio and Katrina Smirnoff had a huge disadvantage this week. Ralph had an injury to deal with….. a ruptured cyst behind his knee and it showed on the floor. He was limping. And they didn’t even have an instant dance prepared. I actually thought they did great under the circumstances. Did you like the eyeliner he wore?! FIrst they did the Viennese Waltz, scores: 8, 8, 9 = 25 then they did they Cha Cha to Stuck in the Middle and got low scores of 7, 7, 7 = 21. TOTAL – 46
Kirstie Alley and Maks did the Argentine Tango and OWNED it! OMG. The crowd went nuts for it. I was amazed. They struggled all week and then so showed up! Scores: 9, 9, 10 = 28 Then for their instant dance they did the Salsa to Cobrastyle and were great. SCores: 8, 9, 8 = 25 TOTAL – 53
It was a fun night overall and I enjoyed every dance a lot. After tonight’s elimination, we are down to the final four!
