Rap legend Heavy D (Dwight Arrington Myers) has died at the young age of 44 today.
Someone called police at about 11:25am to report that he was laying unconscious on a walkway in front of his Beverly Hills home. He was transported to the hospital and was conscious and talking when the medics arrived.
The doctors were unable to save him and he was pronounced dead at 1pm.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends during this time.
