Cutest sisters on the planet? Maybe! Dakota and Elle fanning did this breathtaking shoot for W Magazine and sat down for a nice long chat. They discussed everything from the normal sibling drama to their separate careers, dreams, etc. These girls are all fab.
In case you didn’t know, Dakota who is now 17 is going to college. We give her huge props for not putting her education aside. It’s always good to have a backup plan… what if she gets sick of movies?
Dakota, you just moved to New York from Los Angeles to attend NYU. Why did you decide to go to college?
For the same reasons I wanted to go to a high school: You hear people say, “Oh, when I was in high school” or “When I was in college.” That defines a lot of who people are, and I didn’t want to miss out on that.
Are you living on your own, or do you have roommates?
No roommates. Because I’m only 17, my mom is staying with me in my apartment for a little bit. She’s teaching me how to wash clothes and such. But I’m so excited to be on my own. In my house in L.A., we all feel that everything is everybody’s, and so doors are never really closed. My sister and I share a bathroom, and when you have a sibling, nothing is actually your own. I’ve never really had anything or any place that was just mine.
