Simon Cowell has reportedly spent $500,000 on hotels for the remaining contestants on the X Factor USA, wanting them to see what their life could be like once they win the talent show. 160 people are still remaining in the Boot Camp stages as of right now, everyone were offered a lavish suite at 5-star Miami hotels, overlooking the South Beach before the next stages of the show take place.

“Singers on the British version of the show will be green with envy but Cowell stumped up $500,000 putting everyone up in plush hotels in Miami for boot camp. He wanted to give them a taste of the celebrity lifestyle and help propel them on to great things,” a source explains on Cowell’s decision to fork out so much money.

The music mogul recently said that he gets along with fellow judge, Britney Spears very well, while Demi Lovato acts like a brat on the panel, but adds that there is something likeable about it: “[Britney is] a really, really good judge. Demi is a brat, but there’s something very likeable about her as well,” Cowell said. “[We needed] somebody a bit younger, because I’m in my 30s.”
