Jill Zarin Set to Confront Andy Cohen on RHONY Firing
Well over a year ago it was confirmed that Jill Zarin had been given the ax from The Real Housewives’ of NYC, a show that she spent four years helping to cement as a part of our current voyeuristic culture. Today she confirmed that next Monday she will return to Bravo to sit down to chat with Andy Cohen on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live.
Zarin spoke about her return with The Daily News saying,
“I feel like they killed me off and I didn’t get to say goodbye. I’m really grateful” to go on Cohen’s show, “even though it’s 15 months overdue,” Zarin says, adding, “I’m going to ask him why I was fired. I think it’s also a signal to other cast member on other shows — don’t get greedy about money,” she confessed. “We’ll fire anybody. No one’s too big for their show.”
It sounds like Zarin’s money demands may have led to her firing, doesn’t it? Do you think that it was time for her to leave and that bringing in new ladies helped to freshen up the mix? Zarin did watch season five and felt it was quite boring and for the most part, I’d have to agree. Zarin appealed to me as a woman with a busy life, I’ll take her on my television any day over even another moment being wasted on Aviva Drescher and her litany of phobias.
Zarin says that she was truly hurt by the firing and needed to walk away for a bit but is now ready to return to reality television. She wants to share this stage of her life with the fans that loved her on RHONY. Do you think since this past season wasn’t the best, perhaps Bravo is testing the audience reaction to seeing her again? Could they be considering asking her back? More importantly, would Zarin return or do you think she’s ready to take her life to another network? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below!
