Demi Lovato and Perez Hilton Get Into A Twitter Argument…. Over Lindsay Lohan!!!
Pa-the-tic. Demi Lovato got into an argument with celebrity blogger Perez Hilton yesterday over Lindsay Lohan‘s arrest. The actress, who was arrested yesterday morning, has become the face of all tabloid magazines and blogs (in other words, everyone is talking about it). While most of the people were getting sick and tired of Lindsay getting into trouble and CONSTANTLY avoiding a serious punishment, Demi Lovato felt otherwise by defending the ‘Mean Girls’ star, saying love should be spread, not war.
It all started when Perez had sent out a quote on Twitter, which read that Lindsay’s father, Michael Lohan, believed his daughter was back on drugs and has become ‘out of control’. Within minutes, Demi replied to the tweet and she didn’t seem impressed, tweeting: “hey how about you just leave her alone? Instead of kicking someone while they’re down?
Hilton responded to Demi, saying: “The media (me) is not harming Lindsay. She is doing that to herself. She needs to take #accountability before she will get better…. She has been given chance after chance after chance to redeem herself and make good. Yet she’s like a broken record… And she doesn’t get any ‘free pass’ because her parents are both incredibly dysfunctional. She’s an adult, not a child or teen. I do wish Lindsay well and hope she is able to sort out her issues for good before she ends up like her idol, Marilyn Monroe.”
Lovato wasn’t having any of it, so she replied to Perez’s message: “The media (not just you) don’t realize when you need to stop. This isn’t a headline for your readers. This is someone’s life. I really wish we could go back in time when artists were known for their work. Not their personal lives… #spreadLOVEnotWAR.”
As someone who’s not willing to back down from a juicy publicized argument, the celebrity blogger kept on going, writing: “Do you really think @LindsayLohan wants the media to not write about her? She needs attention and creates drama to get it. #Truth… I have compassion for Lindsay, but I don’t feel sorry for her. There is a difference. Glad U are doing well! Xoxo.”
Lovato asked: “Regardless, why does it need to become everyone’s business? If you believe someone needs help – help them”, which had Hilton to reply: “I have tried to help @lindsaylohan. More than once. But the details of that will remain private. Others have tried too. Often.”
Wow!! All this bickering over Lindsay Lohan?!
