Gisele Bundchen Gives Birth To Daughter–Will She Insult Mothers With Insulting Comments Again?
The too-gorgeous-to-be-human Gisele Bunchden has given birth to her second child, a daughter called Vivian Lake. Gisele is married to NFL star Tom Brady, who has a child with an old girlfriend too. The couple also have a 3-year-old son, Benjamin, whose birthday party this weekend will be a bit over shadowed by the new addition to the family! Gisele and Tom have been together since 2006 and got married in early 2009.
Vivian was born Wednesday and the news was announced by Gisele on her Facebook page yesterday. She posted, “We feel so lucky to have been able to experience the miracle of birth once again and are forever grateful for the opportunity to be the parents of another little angel. Vivian Lake was born at home on December 5. She is healthy and full of life. Thank you all for your support and well wishes. We wish you and your families many blessings .”
Gisele got a lot of flack for opting for an at home water birth for her son Benjamin. She famously stated “Some people here [in the U.S.] think they don’t have to breastfeed, and I think ‘Are you going to give chemical food to your child when they are so little? I think there should be a worldwide law, in my opinion, that mothers should breastfeed their babies for six months,” and ended up having to clarify her beliefs after outrage spread. She then explained her experience as a first time mom:
“My intention in making a comment about the importance of breastfeeding has nothing to do with the law. It comes from my passion and beliefs about children. Becoming a new mom has brought a lot of questions, I feel like I am in a constant search for answers on what might be the best for my child. It’s unfortunate that in an interview sometimes things can seem so black and white. I am sure if I would just be sitting talking about my experiences with other mothers, we would just be sharing opinions. I understand that everyone has their own experience and opinions and I am not here to judge. I believe that bringing a life into this world is the single most important thing a person can undertake and it can also be the most challenging. I think as mothers we are all just trying our best.”
We are sure that Vivian Lake will grow up to be a beautiful person inside and out! Her parent seem very much in love, she has a big brother to play with, and I expect she’ll learn to throw a football by age 5! We can’t wait to see pictures. Congratulations!
