Nicki Minaj has unveiled her latest music to the single, High School, featuring Lil Wayne. The video makes us suspicious as to whether or not these two are actually dating, the video is really steamy. Nicki and Lil Wayne are getting very touchy, touchy with each other and both of them happen to be in a relationship. We wonder what their other half made of this. Haha.
Whatever the case, Minaj has definitely stepped her game up,- she has gone back to her roots by simply focusing on rap music as opposed to selling out. High School is a full-on rap song and having Lil Wayne on it only makes it better. And may we add that her new style is definitely more appealing on our eyes because that wacky, tacky stuff she threw on before was just a cry for attention. We already have Lady Gaga for that.
So, overall we can’t lie and say we don’t like the video, the song and the style she chose to wear for the video. The song is featured on her latest album, Roman Reloaded: The Re-Up, which only sold 35,000 copies in its first week. But before you judge, it was purely based on the fact that many retailers refused to sell it… previous Re-Ups have never sold in stores, so they chose not to take that risk.
The rapper is expected to release another album later this year after it was reported she may lose her judging role on American Idol. Last week’s ratings were said to have been the lowest viewership the show has EVER had! Not even Mariah Carey’s annoying diva behavior could get people to tune in. But well, look on the bright side. Nicki managed to get more publicity from her short time on AI to help keep her music career going strong.
