Lea Michele was going out with Cory Monteith for two years before his untimely death, and there were even some rumors of an impending engagement. Sadly, that will never come to pass.
A new report from US Weekly explains how Lea got the devastating news. A source explains that Lea got the call at 10 PM on Saturday, with the person on the other end ‘desperate’ to reach her before the press broke the news online. The source adds, “Lea completely lost her mind. She went crazy, screaming and crying until 3 a.m.”
Since then, “Lea has been inconsolable and feels like she’s been hit by a truck. She didn’t know he’d started using again. She’s been talking with Cory’s family the entire time and wants to plan the whole funeral.” Even still, “She’s not doing great. She’s totally devastated.”
Cory was cremated a couple of days ago, and there was a private viewing of the body with the family and Lea in attendance.
We can’t imagine how long it will take Lea to get over Cory’s passing, but it won’t be an easy process. Hopefully, spending time with Cory’s family and the support she’s getting from her own family and fans is helping her through it.
