Miley Cyrus Discusses Her Wild Child Image, Says She’s Still The Same Person She Used To Be
Just two years ago, Miley Cyrus appeared to be the perfect Disney darling, juggling films and music with the relative ease of a performer twice her age. However, she’s since cut her hair, died it platinum blonde, lost a ton of weight, got engaged, possibly broke off her engagement, and is now singing about drugs and sex.
So what caused the change? Well, Miley says in a new interview with the Associated Press that she’s still the same person she always was, but her music and personal sense is still evolving. She explains, “That’s what you’re supposed to do; you are 20, you are supposed to be a mess because you haven’t figured it out yet, and 10 years from now I am supposed to have it all together.”
She adds, “But people think a mad scientist somehow cooked up this potion and turned me in to a different human, which it wasn’t. All I did was get a haircut and buy some clothes and everyone thinks that I am made into a robot that changes with what’s popular every 10 years.”
Do you agree? I definitely think it’s a lot more difficult for performers to be in the public spotlight when they’re growing up than regular kids, but even with all the extra baggage surrounding her new image, I do think that Miley is still the same person at heart.
