Jennifer Garner Doesn’t Want To Just Be Known As Ben Affleck’s Wife
Jennifer Garner covers the latest issue of Allure Magazine and she discussed the curse of being known only as Mrs. Ben Affleck.
Ok, she didn’t say that, but she might as well have. When asked about going to events with Ben, her reply was, “It’s a very conscious decision. Sometimes it’s a pain because my heels are so high and it would be nice to have his arm. And he’s such a great date! But it can be too much. I think especially for women, they can really lose their identity and just become ‘wife of.’”
She also doesn’t want to work with Ben for the same reason, explaining, “Really, you don’t want to see a couple onscreen . . People see paparazzi shots of us together all the time. There’s no mystery . . . People are sick of us.”
Although Jennifer is not expressly complaining about the paparazzi here, she still makes it sound like her image as Mrs. Ben Affleck was accidental. Uh, no it wasn’t. She and Ben chose to do their awards runs together, and Jennifer played the part perfectly. I can guarantee that she played a big part in getting Argo that Best Picture Oscar and of course, because of that, she will be interlinked with Ben’s success. I don’t necessarily see anything wrong with that, do you?
