Adam Lambert has come out today to defend Miley Cyrus of all people. Where everyone else is kind of embarrassed and ashamed of her VMA’s performance, Adam justifies it as her simply having fun. Yes we could see she had fun, Adam, but that type of fun should have been done in a private setting. Her onstage performance shouldn’t full rated R.
The American Idol runner-up took to Twitter.com to write, “Listen if it wasn’t ur (your) cup of tea – all good but why is everyone spazzing (sic)? Hey – she’s doin something right. We all talkin (sic)… I didn’t actually state whether or not I liked MileyCyrus performance. I merely said she was having fun and to cut her some slack.”
I love it when he said he didn’t state whether he loved it. He made sure to give himself some leeway if he ever needs to backtrack. Smart, very smart.
Here’s the thing Miley has been trying to shed her child star image for the longest time. So instead aging with dignity she pulled out everything from an S&M box to prove she’s an adult. All she ended up doing was humiliate herself and alienate a surprising number of fans. Usually I don’t agree with the parent association, but as I watched Miley, my first thought was Liam shouldn’t marry her.
Her having a fiancée is what made her lose any possible slack when she did her “routine”.
