Will Kim Kardashian take Kanye West’s last name when they get married? Does she even have a choice? Kanye was a guest on Ryan Seacrest‘s radio talk show, and when asked about his wedding to Kim, he confirmed that Kim would be taking his last name. He didn’t go into detail, but as much as I dislike Kim, I have a feeling that she wasn’t given much of a choice in this matter.
Kanye also proves that he continues to be delusional when he mentions that Kim deserves a cover on Vogue Magazine and a spot on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. His reasoning is, “When I took [Kim] to the Met Ball… they put it up on Vogue.com and tried to say she wasn’t there because they didn’t want a reality show girl there. Or like with the Hollywood Walk of Fame. It’s not the walk of singing, it’s the Walk of Fame. We’re classist. We have our cool table, and there’s no way Kim Kardashian shouldn’t be on the cover of Vogue. She’s like the most intriguing woman right now.”
Um, it’s not ‘classism’ when reality stars are refused places on prestigious magazine covers or walks of fame that are reserved for legitimate celebrities who got famous based on their talent. I get what Kanye’s trying to say in terms of the walk of ‘fame’, but Kim is famous for literally doing nothing. To promote that kind of behavior in the public by rewarding it would be the opposite of what Vogue and the Walk of Fame are trying to do, which is to reward talent more than anything else. And in what universe is Kim the most ‘intriguing’ woman right now? For some reason, she’s got a battalion of reality TV watchers interested in her, but I don’t think that Kanye understands that the majority of the public is laughing against her, not with her.
