Miranda Lambert shocked and surprised onlookers at the CMA Awards last night by showing off her drastic weight loss. She looked significantly thinner than the last time she was seen at a public event, and it led to speculation about her dieting and exercise plan.
Although Miranda claims that she lost all that weight naturally, by cutting back on Cheetos, it’s more likely that she resorted to some excessive dieting and exercise plans to lose that much weight so quickly.
Miranda explained her weight loss to People at the awards, explaining that if she got into shape now, then it would help her in the future. She stated, “I didn’t give up really a lot really. Just Cheetos mostly! But I might have some tonight, just to celebrate! Everything in moderation!”
Doctors have already pitched in with their thoughts and stated that the amount of weight that Miranda lost should have been done over months, not weeks. Also, her whole comment about losing all this weight by cutting ‘back on Cheetos’ will just mislead other, more gullible women. You can’t lose that much weight by cutting back on junk food – it takes a lot more determination, focus, and effort to lose weight in a healthy and sustainable manner. I wouldn’t be surprised if Miranda’s weight loss only lasted for a few months considering how quickly she shed the excess.
Then again, she could have been motivated by rumors that her husband, Blake Shelton, was cheating on her. Sadly, nothing spurs an actress or singer to get into shape like the chance that their husband will leave them for some younger and skinnier model.
