No celebrity has been as ubiquitous as Jennifer Lawrence in 2013. She dominated headlines at the beginning of the year thanks to her Oscar win and busy awards season. She went away for a while, but then came back with the one-two punch of The Hunger Games: Catching Fire last month and now American Hustle. Even though she’s busy filming Mockingjay, she’ll have to once again go through awards season for her acclaimed performance in American Hustle. With this much on her plate and the amount of publicity she’s getting, there’s always a danger of her burning out and getting overexposed. However, Jennifer’s prepared for that and has a plan of action.
According to her recent interview with the Telegraph, Jennifer reveals that she’s planning on taking a nice, long break from acting and publicity in 2014. She explains, “2013 has been kind of a blur. There’s been a lot of good and some bad. It’s been a whirlwind and I think I will always remember being very tired but excited. In 2014 I’m looking forward to peace and rest. I’d like to slow down; I’d like a little less attention; I’d like to buy a house and have a home. So 2013 was a really exciting whirlwind and I’d like 2014 to be kind of an unwinding, peaceful time.”
Well, it’s not going to be so easy for her to take this break. She’ll be filming Mockingjay until the summer of 2014, and then she’ll have busy press duties for X-Men: Days of Future Past. She might have a break for a few months, before worldwide promotion once again kicks in for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay and possibly Serena, another movie with Bradley Cooper she has in the can. So that vacation probably sounds good to her, but will it actually happen?
