Pink has gone completely nude for the cover of ‘Who’ Magazine, as part of their annual body issue. The accompanying interview focuses on Pink’s body transformation, with emphasis from Pink on ‘fitness’ as opposed to ‘thinness’.
I wish more celebrities would have this kind of view on body image, but unfortunately, not many do. It’s obvious from once glance at Pink that she’s got an extremely athletic and fit body, even though she doesn’t have an ounce of fat anywhere on her. She doesn’t look like she’s starving herself or that one gentle tap would send her keeling over to the side, whereas you can’t say the same for most women in Hollywood.Pink explains that after losing her pregnancy weight and gaining a new focus on her health, she’s in the best shape she’s ever been in her life. She also adds, “I could always lose a couple [pounds] here and there, but I would rather be strong than bony.”
Amen to that! Again, not many women in the spotlight eschew these kind of views, which makes it that much more awesome that Pink is doing it. While ‘Who’ Magazine certainly doesn’t have the reach that Women’s Health or Men’s Fitness does, Pink’s cover issue is already getting plenty of media coverage. Hopefully, that encourages young women to pick up the magazine and read it, as opposed to the usual barrage of stick-thin models that come from the pages of Seventeen Magazine and Teen Vogue.
