Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have had a tough two years, but Rob has much more reason to complain than Kristen does. It’s fitting then, that he’s the one who dismisses the whole Kristen cheating affair as not a big deal, even though she’s the one who cheated on him.
In an extensive interview with Esquire, Rob touches upon the affair, explaining his views on it. In short, he says, “S–t happens, you know? It’s just young people…it’s normal! And honestly, who gives a s–t?”
He also added, “The hardest part was talking about it afterwards. Because when you talk about other people, it affects them in ways you can’t predict.”
Hmm.. are we sensing some regret in Rob’s words? Does he actually feel bad about discussing the affair in interviews? Or is he saying that Kristen shouldn’t have discussed the affair in public, because of the way it affected him? Either way, he’s clearly over it by now, which can mean two things: he’s moved on and doesn’t care about Kristen anymore, or he’s moved on and is actually on good terms with Kristen. The second option would imply that he’s forgiven her and wants to forget the affair, which of course Twi-hards are going to take as proof that their beloved Robsten is back together. However, I think it’s more likely that Rob seriously just stopped caring, especially after their second [and final] breakup. They tried to make the relationship work, he clearly had trust issues [can’t blame him for that], and so they ended things. But Rob is being the bigger man in this interview, so good for him.
