Gwyneth Paltrow Attempted Television Work – Her Obsessive Diva Behavior Proves Impossible To Work With!
Gwyneth Paltrow has had a difficult time with her movie career over the past few years. In fact, other than the Iron Man franchise, what has Gwyneth been in that was even remotely worth seeing? Yeah, pretty much nothing.
A new report from Star Magazine claims that since her movie career has stalled, Gwyneth tried turning to television. However, ‘sources’ told Star that Gwyneth’s diva behavior and insane demands have put people off working with her, even on the small screen.
These sources explain, “Networks have been interested in her, but she wants $1 million per episode — it’s ridiculous. Gwyneth wants control of casting and script changes. She drives people crazy, so they move on.”
You know what? Gwyneth wanting $1 million an episode is ridiculous – BUT her wanting casting control and script changes isn’t that out of the ordinary. Many major movie stars who move to television want some level of control over their shows, especially since they think they’re taking a big risk jumping into TV. They want to guarantee the success of the show, and the narcissists that they are, they all think they can do a better job with writing and casting the show than the professionals who were hired to do so.
I can totally see Gwyneth demanding all this to star in a TV show, and I can also see executives deeming it too much hassle to be worth it. Honestly, I don’t think Gwyneth has the temperament to be a TV star, no matter what Star says.
