Miley Cyrus was recently interviewed by Australian show ‘Sunday Night’, and maybe it was because it was the Australian connection, but she opened up about her ex-fiance, Liam Hemsworth, in a manner that she’d been avoiding for the past few months.
She ended up saying, “I love Liam, Liam loves me.” She also opens up about a little about their breakup, saying that her song ‘Wrecking Ball’ [and in essence, their relationship falling apart] was about ‘finding herself‘ and ‘setting herself free’.
Um, I don’t know how to say this, but would Liam have cheated on Miley if he really ‘loved’ her? It’s clear that Miley is saying that they both still love each other in a platonic way, but it’s hard to believe that she doesn’t have any ill feelings about the way their relationship ended. From all the reports, it sounded like she was trying hard to salvage what they had, but Liam couldn’t be bothered. Plus, ‘Wrecking Ball’ wasn’t exactly a nice, slow ballad about how wonderful her relationship with Liam was – I think the words ‘wrecking ball’ pretty much speak for themselves.
Some reports are taking this as a hint that Miley and Liam will get back together, which seems unlikely. He’s moved on and she’s moved on, even if they haven’t necessarily done it in public. They’re not sitting around, pining after each other. Plus, their careers are way too busy for them to even consider getting back together, unless they want a repeat of their first breakup.
