Kate Middleton is pregnant with her second child, and her entire family is delighted with the news – including her brother-in-law, Prince Harry. Harry’s already spoken about how much he loves having Prince George around, and now he’s about to welcome another niece or nephew.
Harry was present at the Invictus Games in London on September 8th, and he spoke to the media about the newest addition to the family. He first said, “It’s very exciting news. [George] will be over the moon.”
He also joked, “I can’t wait to see my brother [Prince William] suffer more. If it’s a girl, he’ll suffer even more. I’d love to see him try and cope with that.”
No kidding. William and Kate seem to have their hands full with George at any given time, so I can’t imagine how they’ll manage a new addition to the family – especially if the kid’s got George’s spirit and spunk.
Of course, Kate being pregnant again means that Harry has now moved down even further in the line of succession to the throne. He was fourth after Prince George’s birth, and now he’ll be fifth. So the new line looks like this: Prince Charles, Prince William, Prince George, and the new baby. Harry’s response to the news? ‘Great!’
Obviously, Harry’s happy that he doesn’t have to deal with the pressure of being the official ‘heir’ to the throne. He’s much more laid back and easy-going than the rest of his family, and he also doesn’t want to deal with the public expectation that comes along with being the heir This way, he’s under no rush to get married and have kids, as Kate and Will have taken care of giving the Queen the ‘spare’.
