Mariah Carey doesn’t care if everyone knows that Nick Cannon cheated on her. In fact, she’s going out of her way to make that happen.
Mariah was performing the Billie Holiday song ‘Don’t Explain’ during a concert in Tokyo, and while the original lyrics of the song are, “I know you cheat,” Mariah decided to change the lyrics when performing the song. She made the lyrics, “I know you cheated, Motherf*cker”, which was clearly referring to her estranged husband, Nick Cannon.
Officially, all we know is that Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon are living apart, and that Nick has refused to admit that they’re getting a divorce. However, we also know that things are not all copacetic in Mariah and Nick land, and the two have been having some marriage issues for a while now. More to the matter is that Nick Cannon has been linked to Amber Rose in the last few weeks, and sources close to Amber have alleged that Nick’s affair with her was what led to her divorce from Wiz Khalifa.
Either way, Mariah clearly believes that Nick cheated on her, and why shouldn’t she? All the evidence certainly points to it, and we know Mariah Carey’s ego is big enough that she would never be able to stay quiet about this. She may hate Nick Cannon and she may be furious at his affairs and cheating, but will Mariah Carey actually divorce her husband? That would be admitting that she failed at something, and I don’t know if her ego would allow that. So instead, she’s taking out her angry by singing about him in public, so that everyone knows that a douchebag he really is.
