Britney Spears has changed a lot over the past decade, and it’s obvious that she’s now gotten her priorities sorted out in life. She definitely went through a lot, with the media attention, the paparazzi, and her health issues, but she’s come through the struggle of her 20s stronger than ever.
Britney and her two sons cover the latest issue of People Magazine, and Britney opens up about how her children, Sean and Jayden, are now her biggest priority in life.
She explains, “My kids come first in my life, bottom line.” And even though Britney has taken up residency in Las Vegas right now, she explains that she always, always has time for her kids. Not only that, but she always has time for their homework as well! She adds, “We have a reward system that helps motivate them: if they get so many As, they get one toy a month.”
Plus, Britney also says that her kids get along very well with her new boyfriend, Charlie Ebersol. As she states, “They relate to [Ebersol] really well and they have fun together. He’s refreshing to be around and really light-hearted.”
Is that a dig against their father? She’s going out of her way to mention that Charlie is ‘light-hearted’, which seems like a weird compliment to give to a boyfriend. Then again, perhaps light-hearted is that important to Britney, considering what she’s had to go through in the past, both with her personal and public life.
What do you guys think about Britney Spears’ comments regarding her children? Do you think she really has got her priorities sorted out, especially when there are all these rumors about her career going badly? I mean, it’s fairly obvious that no matter how successful or unsuccessful Britney stays, she’ll make sure her focus is on her children – which is pretty much what she’s saying.
