Olivia Wilde just gave birth to a little baby boy a few months ago, but she’s already covering Shape Magazine and discussing her post-baby body.
It seems like in Hollywood, the recovery time to achieving a perfect body after birth is a few months, but Olivia dispels that notion.
She explains, “I am not in perfect shape. In fact, I’m softer than I’ve ever been, including that unfortunate semester in high school when I simultaneously discovered Krispy Kreme and pot. The photos of me in this magazine have been generously constructed to show my best angles and I assure you, good lighting has been warmly embraced. The truth is, I’m a mother, and I look like one.”
She also explains that she wants nothing more than to stay at home and play with her son, but she’s not given the freedom to do that. Plus, she also adds that she doesn’t want to get rid of any evidence that she had a baby, which is too often what Hollywood [and the media] focuses on. She wants to look like someone who gave birth, but not at the expense of her health.
Olivia also mentions that she loves pizza and beer, and that she’s not holding back on the pleasures of life in gaining her pre-baby body back. Plus, as most mothers agree with, Olivia also adds that breastfeeding has helped an enormous amount in shedding the baby weight.
