Is there a Destiny’s Child reunion tour and album in the works? Most likely not – but Beyonce’s father and former manager, Mathew Knowles, is not giving up hope that it may happen someday. About once a year rumors pop up teasing that Bey is getting back together with Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams for a Destiny’s Child reunion – but they never really seem to come to fruition. Now, the rumors are back with a vengeance because of some recent comments her father made in an interview.
Mathew Knowles dished to Huffington Post about his daughter Beyonce and the former girl band Destiny’s Child. When asked if they were ever going to get back together Mathew Knowles replied, “I am extremely hopeful that the ladies will come back with an album and a tour.” Fans seemed to take half of his statement and ran with it, ignoring the fact that the manager said he was “hopeful” that it would happening. In no way, shape, or form did Knowles actually say there was a reunion in the works.
At this point, Beyonce has taken her sense of superiority to a whole new level – even if Kelly and Michelle were willing to be bossed around by her again and forced to live in here shadow, Bey would never agree to it. Remember this is the woman who was above a Vogue Magazine interview – which is basically the most prestigious magazine out there. Of course Mathew Knowles is going to “remain hopeful” of a reunion – he’s dying to relive his glory days as the girl group’s manager.
