Tickets are available now for both the evening and matinee shows. ‘The Outgoing Tide’ will run from Friday, April 22 through Sunday May 8 at the Pearl McManus Theater at the historic Palm Springs Woman’s Club.
The award winning drama was written by Bruce Graham and brings a sensitive observation and minor-key humor to painful situations that many of us will recognize from our own families.
‘The Outgoing Tide’ takes place in a summer cottage on Chesapeake Bay. It tells the story of a Gunner who has come up with an unorthodox plan to secure his family’s future but meets with resistance from his wife and son, who have plans of their own. As winter approaches, the three must quickly find common ground and come to an understanding before the tide goes out.
Tormented by the menacing grip of an aging mind and with an uncertain future ahead, one man has a plan – but it’s not what his family had in mind. A touching story sprinkled with surprising humor that asks what it means to truly love someone.
Michael Fairman stars as Gunner, Judith Chapman as his wife and Scott Smith as his son. The stage production is directed by Michael Shaw. ‘The Young and the Restless’ fans that live in the area or will visit Palm Springs between April 22 and May 8 should check out the stage play.
The Pearl McManus Theater is located at 314 S. Cahuilla Road in Downtown Palm Springs. Tickets Friday and Saturday evening performances are $28 each. Tickets for Saturday and Sunday matinees are $24 each. Please visit the Dezart Performs website to purchase tickets.
