General Hospital Donnell Turner Opens Up About New GH Co-Star And New Gig
It looks like General Hospital star Donnell Turner (Curtis Ashford) has a lot to look forward to in the coming weeks. Not only does he have a new co-star he’s working with in Port Charles, but he’s also got a new project in the pipeline.
According to ABC Soaps in Depth, the handsome actor is excited to work with General Hospital newcomer Briana Nicole Henry, who will be the new Jordan in Port Charles. If Briana looks familiar, that’s because she once played the role of Esmerelda on The Young and the Restless.
Apparently, Donnell got to participate in the recasting process the same week that he was told he got a role in Amazon’s upcoming crime drama, Too Old To Die Young. He told Soaps in Depth, “I got to play a skeevy, sleazeball cop. It was a small co-star spot, but they upgraded the character to guest star and gave me some meat. It’s fun, because it’s different. My character does something pretty low. The shoot was unbelievably surreal. I can’t wait for you to see it.”
In other words, Donnell definitely has his hands full as he will be pulling in double duty at General Hospital and for his new Amazon crime drama, too. Too Old To Die Young is slated to hit television screens sometime in 2019. In the meantime, Donnell will be working with Briana on General Hospital. We can’t wait to see the two of them in action!
