This has definitely been happening way too often to our favorite daytime television stars! There’s a new report that says another soap actress has been scammed on social media. This time around it’s General Hospital star Tamara Braun. Tamara is best known for her role as Kim Nero on the hit ABC soap.
Apparently, someone has decided to set up a fake account with her name on it. Tamara was very quick to address the issue on social media and even warned her fans to look out for the scammer, as she definitely has nothing to do with the person who is trying to steal her identity online.
“This is NOT my account. My account has a verified check mark and only one ‘n’ in my name. I had some people alert me to this and wanted to alert anyone else I could. Thanks! Hope you are having a good day!! #notme #fakeaccount #tamarabraun”
Of course, this isn’t the first time that we’ve heard of a fan trying to pretend to be a soap star online. In recent weeks John McCook (Eric, The Bold and the Beautiful), soap vet Rick Hearst, Tyler Christopher (Stefan, Days of Our Lives; ex-Nikolas, General Hospital), Kristoff St. John (Neil, The Young and the Restless), and many others have all fallen victim to this social media scam.

Twitter and Instagram users are being asked to check to see if the account has been verified with a ‘blue checkmark’ before following their favorite actor or actress online.
