Why have one simple answer within the complex and seemingly endless J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) storyline on ‘The Young and the Restless’? Instead, Y&R may actually be setting up viewers for multiple villain reveals.
Tessa (Cait Fairbanks), yes, she could be the sole tormentor. That’s too simple though, right?
Dina (Marla Adams) unknowingly burned down The Underground. Well, maybe she did the same thing at the stables? But how would she have gotten there?
Okay, wouldn’t it be easier to write back a single, sinister, creeper from Y&R’s past? Revive someone like Ian (Ray Wise) as the guy who’s been needling Nikki for all these months. That would make sense, plus the Victor (Eric Braeden) frame would play into that type of climax.
Then again, Marco’s (as also played by Bergman in a dual role) recent references could easily mean that he’s been back in Genoa City for awhile. Good old one ear escaped from the Peruvian prison that the ‘Moustache’ had him hellicoptered back to and is behind everything. Hmm, maybe.
Yet Phyllis (Gina Tognoni) has been very boisterous lately. Y&R has the self-appointed coverup crew fixer setting fire to the stables at the Ranch, while also planting the gun, earlier placing the bloodied shirt in Nikki’s (Melody Thomas Scott’s) bed, and initially moving J.T.’s body from its statue-marked Chancellor Park grave. Who else would have known all those plot points and also want to keep Victor in jail for a crime he didn’t commit?
However, Nikki could be tormenting herself. But, who would think of something so preposterous and then carry that out in daytime?
But wait! Why must just one of the above characters, or another that hasn’t been mentioned, or been considered, be the only villain? Just as executive producer and head writer Mal Young had his team create this deep, long arc, so too may the now departed Y&R head have ordered that multiple villains be responsible for it all.
Although, maybe Young’s successors are handling the fallout? So many questions as Y&R fans consider all the answers. As to whether two, or more characters are so entangled and what those pairings, be they known, or unknown, remain a mystery.
Fans of ‘The Young and the Restless’ rightfully express their opinions on a regular basis. So, will more than one villain be revealed in the J.T. storyline? Please vote in our poll below!
