Days of Our Lives (DOOL) spoilers tease that Haley Chen (Thia Megia) could have another secret besides being in the United States as an illegal alien; there could be a problem in her past that prevented her from emigrating legally as well!
DOOL Spoilers— What Is Haley’s Real Secret?
Haley’s pretty young, but that doesn’t mean that she doesn’t have skeletons in her closet! As the sister of a United States Citizen who appears to be well over 21 years old, Haley should have at least been able to get a Green Card, according to the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services. She would have to have the Green Card for five years before applying for citizenship.
Then there is sponsorship. An applicant for U.S. citizenship has to be sponsored by a U.S. citizen, which can cost up to $3,675 in fees, but a district attorney shouldn’t have problems coming up with that kind of funds! So what could prevent Haley from being in the United States legally and becoming a citizen?

DAYS Spoilers– What Is Preventing Haley From A Green Card?
Certain diseases, crimes, or lack of sponsorship could prevent her from doing it the right way; she did tell JJ that she basically landed on her sister’s doorstep after their parents died, but how young was she? If Melinda didn’t sponsor her to come into the US, to begin with, that could be a problem. If she came illegally, she may have to go back and start all over again to become legal! It’s entirely possible Melinda wouldn’t help her come to America legally; after all, what kind of sister kicks a baby sister out of her home and tells her to keep their relationship a secret? Will Days of Our Lives writers show Haley’s problem was caused by Melinda herself, or some skeleton in Haley’s own closet?
