Sharon (Sharon Case) was wise to hire Brittany (Lauren Woodland) on The Young and the Restless. The logic this attorney is employing could help Case’s embattled character to be acquitted of the serious legal charges that Christine (Lauralee Bell) is vigorously pursuing.
Lauren Woodland’s Lawyer Status
Woodland is a real-life attorney and legal commentator. Her transition to this professional field of work occurred after she’d gained fame as an actor. Y&R’s offer to Woodland to return to the cast in 2018, thirteen years after Brittany’s exit, surely was enhanced by the opportunity to play off what became the actor’s impressive second career.
Brittany’s return was coupled with the return appearance of David Lago, who reprised his role as Raul. Friends when they departed Genoa City years ago, Brittany and Raul described how their relationship and eventual marriage formed during Y&R’s special forty-fifth anniversary episodes. The former Mrs. Hodges Marsino came back to GC as Mrs. Hodges Guittierez, attorney at law.

Did Rey Manipulate Sharon?
As for Sharon, Brittany’s theory that Rey (Jordi Vilasuso) manipulated her emotions in order to force a confession about the J.T. (Thad Luckinbill) case isn’t fully on-base, though not all wrong. The focused judge and members of the jury of Sharon’s peers could be influenced by the compelling emotionally-based suggestions Brittany will offer in an attempt to win an acquittal.
Rey began to develop feelings for Sharon upon his arrival from Miami, Florida, last summer. Both characters also kissed in a display of genuine passion, but then opted not to pursue a romance because of Rey’s desire to make ‘Ria’ work.

A series of wanting stares and innuendoes took place in recent months, both at work and elsewhere. Provoked by what happened with Mia (Noemi Gonzalez), Rey then did proclaim his love for Sharon on St. Valentine’s Day, which she verbally reciprocated. His find of the 911 call on Sharon’s phone records was accidental and did produce an admission of guilt, which led to all ‘Fearsome Foursome’ members arrest.
Viewers know that Rey was suspicious of Sharon from the jump, even stating that she was the “weakest link” within the coverup crew. Now, Brittany’s pressed theory should be enough to raise doubt in the courtroom.
