General Hospital Spoilers-- Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst and Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth)

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Elizabeth Webber Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) will still remain deeply conflicted when it comes to taking Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth) back into her life. She claims it’s for her children’s’ sakes, but now that the oldest, Cameron (William Lipton) has fully forgiven Franco and feels he’s safe, the other two will probably follow suit. General Hospital viewers pose the question; is Franco the problem at all, or is it really Liz?

General Hospital Spoilers— Is Liz Past Affecting Her Happiness With Franco?

Longtime General Hospital viewers will recall back when Elizabeth was a young teenager; she was the victim of a violent rape by Tom Baker (Don Harvey). Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) became her pillar of strength and protector at that time, and they later married, after many off and on times in their relationship.

However, when little Jake (now Hudson Spencer) was presumed dead it put a strain on their relationship and they divorced. Little Jake was a product of a one night stand between Elizabeth and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), whom she was engaged to at one time, but the marriage never happened.

Before that, she’d been involved with, but never married, Zander Smith (Chad Brannon) and Cameron was the product of another one night stand with him.  She again tried marriage with Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) and that didn’t work out, especially when she found out he’d paid off a doctor to tell her she couldn’t have children and locked Carly Corinthos (at that time Tamara Braun) in a panic room in their home. Later she reconciled with Lucky for a short time and became pregnant with Aiden (Jason David), her youngest child.

General Hospital viewers will recall that when Tom Baker was paroled, Franco took extraordinary revenge on him, locking him in a cage like a dog in his art studio! That was a little extreme but showed how much he loved Liz. Tom was later stabbed in the back by his own brother, Seth (Michael Rodrick), although Franco was considered the number one suspect at the time.

GH Spoilers– Is Liz’s True Love Drew?

Elizabeth has been involved with many men, but it seems like the only one she ever felt safe with is Drew Cain (Billy Miller) when she thought he was Jason at the time, as everyone else did. Is it possible that Liz is carrying a lot of emotional baggage from years back and thinking a marriage with a good man wouldn’t last and so she’s subconsciously afraid of commitment?

Even Lucky, one of the best, had his problems, and Jason has always been unavailable. Even though Liz is the one who set up the jail marriage to Franco, she might have been trying to fight against something she couldn’t quite put her finger on, and that’s a secret fear that anything or anyone that seems too good to be true usually is!

Stay tuned to GH and keep watching General Hospital spoilers frequently to see the latest news, updates, and spoilers, and to see if Liz and Franco work things out and she takes him back!
