General Hospital Spoilers-- Shiloh Archer (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco)

General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that Shiloh Archer (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) may have used an unusual form of hypnotism on Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) in Wednesday, April 3 episode. He had her blindfold herself in a red scarf, as he walked around her slowly, very closely, imploring her to relax and feel his energy.

From the look on her face, she looked like she was trying to resist what he was speaking to her, but finally acquiesced and told him what he wanted to hear, that she felt his energy. However, as she walked away and on out the door of the Dawn of Day house, she was shaking her head as if she was trying to push something out of her mind, or possibly fighting off dizziness! Could Shiloh have gotten into her head with this procedure?

GH Spoilers– Shiloh’s Mind Control Techniques Got Sam

General Hospital viewers will also have noted that Sam barely reacted when she met DA Margaux Dawson (Elizabeth Hendrickson) coming also to “take a class” and “have a session” with Shiloh. Sam seemed to be fighting whatever mind control that Shiloh had administered while circling her as she was blindfolded. Other down the road General Hospital spoilers say her sister Molly Lansing-Davis (Haley Pullos) will confront her about something, so it seems that Shiloh may have indeed gotten to her with whatever he did!

Basic mind control techniques used by cult leaders and psychopaths, according to the website could employ this blindfolding technique used by Shiloh. Blindfolding someone, or even blindfolding oneself, makes a person vulnerable to the person doing the blindfolding, and if the person blindfolds his or herself, that is even better….it is like skipping a step in the trust ladder, so to speak.

If the cult leader is a psychopath, which many are, as well as being narcissistic, they will normally use four statements or attitudes to gain a potential victim’s trust: “1. I like who you are; 2. I am just like you; 3. Your secrets are safe with me; and 4. I am the perfect friend, partner, companion, lover… for you!”

General Hospital Spoilers– Will Sam Give Shiloh What He Wants?

Once the person wanting to control has gained his or her victim’s trust, the controller can convince the victim that the controller’s thoughts are the same as the victim’s, and be able to influence their ideas and ways of doing things.

It is quite possible that because Sam chose to put her own blindfold on, Shiloh was able to “get into her head” so to speak and post-hypnotically suggest his own thoughts and ideas, much as Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) did with Lulu Falconeri (Emme Rylan) but using a different method.
