General Hospital (GH) spoilers tease that the same woman that tried to hire the junkie that Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) paid big bucks to get intel on Ryan Chamberlain (Jon Lindstrom) might be the same woman who tried to call Ava Jerome (Maura West).
When she wouldn’t talk to Ava, Mac Scorpio (John J. York) took the phone and she finally said she called the wrong number, but he thought the background noises sounded like she may be at a dock or a shipyard. The sound could have been of Niagara Falls!
“Timmy” (uncredited actor) told Curtis the woman wasn’t local and sounded foreign to him; that she had an accent; but yet the car she drove had a bumper sticker from a high school in a town not far from Niagara Falls. Who could this mysterious woman, who is still alive and Ryan hasn’t killed, be?
GH Spoilers– Who Is Helping Ryan?
The obvious suspect that would come to most General Hospital viewers’ minds would be Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati), but she would be TOO obvious. She would easily be found to be either working at her job at the Invader, or not have been working there at that time and besides, why would she go to Canada to help Ryan?
She, of course, would have known what to put down on the list, but again, why would her car have a bumper sticker from an area high school? Of course, Timmy could have just been lying about the car to get money out of Curtis! Or, it could have just been someone else unrelated in the car he saw.
So suspect number one, Liesl, doesn’t appear to be a viable suspect even though she is a doctor and has an accent. Who else could Curtis and General Hospital viewers think of who would be in Canada, and have an accent (if indeed she did) who would help Ryan that he would trust enough not to kill?
General Hospital Spoilers– Has Ava Met The Woman Helping Ryan Before?
General Hospital viewers will recall when Ava went to the Baronski Clinic in Russia, where she received treatment for her burns, and where she found and helped Patient Six, aka Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) escape. Other General Hospital spoilers tease that Ryan could have been taken to the Baronski Clinic after he was found after the funhouse explosion by the DVX and received treatment for his own burns.

She was met on the way on the plane by Larisa (Agnes Olech) and she had quite an accent; a Russian one! It’s possible Larisa was actually a DVX agent and the DVX once again is helping Ryan. They move around just like WSB agents do, and she may now be in the clinic in Canada where Cassandra Pierce (Jessica Tuck) was where Dr. Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) treated her under duress after he found out Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) had been held there as bait to lure him!
Ryan’s hand may have been injured and had to be amputated, and they may have been too far from the Canadian clinic to safely get there with him alive, therefore the break-in at the pharmacy.
GH Spoilers– Who Else Could Be Helping Ryan?
One other uncast individual remains as a possibility, although General Hospital viewers cannot be sure of the connection; Claudette Beaulieu’s (Bree Williamson) mother lives in Canada and she may have a French accent. It was never stated how far into Canada she lives, and Ryan could have just stumbled upon her injured and she just tried to help.

Another possibility is a person was living in the cabin Ryan knew about just beyond the footbridge into Canada, and he forced her into helping him. Why he didn’t kill her is not known, but then we don’t know that Ryan isn’t talking on the phone through a voice changing software to make himself sound like a woman with an accent! Ryan is set to show up in Port Charles sometime in May during May sweeps.
