General Hospital Spoilers-- NIna Reeves (Cynthia Watros)

Shake-ups and changes are never easy, especially when they are the unexpected kind. The switch up between Gina Tognoni and Michelle Stafford as Phyllis Summers on The Young and the Restless has been making headlines for quite some time now.

But what makes things very exciting is that there will soon be a new face in Port Charles that everyone will get to know: actress Cynthia Watros. Here’s what you need to know about what’s ahead on GH.

GH Spoilers– Michelle Stafford WIll be Missed

A lot of the cast and crew from behind the scenes have made it no secret that they are going to miss seeing Michelle Stafford on a daily basis. Many have called her a class act and an absolute joy to work with.

As a matter of fact, General Hospital executive producer Frank Valentini had this to say, “It’s a bittersweet day. I love Michelle and wish her all the best. I’m also excited about Cynthia joining the General Hospital family and continuing Nina’s legacy.”

Fellow actress Cynthia Watros will be replacing Michelle as the new Nina Reeves in Port Charles. Watros then wrote on Instagram, “I cannot wait to join the talented cast and crew of General Hospital.”

General Hospital Spoilers– Watros Is Excited To Step Into The Role Of Nina

Stafford, meanwhile, has thanked her fans for all of their love and support as she begins to prepare her transition from General Hospital to The Young and the Restless. And as many fans already know, Watros is no stranger to the daytime television world. She played a character by the name of Kelly Andrews on The Young and the Restless and is also known for her role as Annie Dutton Banks on Guiding Light, which she played back in 1997 and 1998.

If that weren’t enough, Watros has also starred in a handful of primetime television shows including Lost, House, and most recently, Finding Carter. As much as fans are going to miss seeing Michelle Stafford as Nina, they can’t wait to see what Cynthia Watros will bring to the character. These have been interesting times in the daytime television world, indeed. Of course, fans will have to tune in to find out what will happen next!

As always, more detailed spoilers and a full collection of pictures for the week in question will appear on Soap Opera Spy, where there will be more clues and hints over exactly what’s going on.
